(International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) be beneficial to me?

How can a home visit from an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) be beneficial to me?

With Covid cases on the rise, many new families dread leaving the safety of their home to go to another pediatrician appointment for yet another weight check.  After all it’s difficult to time everything so that your baby has been fed, diaper changed, diaper bag packed, bathroom trip for mom, and perhaps a bite to eat to sustain your energy.

What if you have other children?   Maybe your appointment time is during their nap time.  What if it is   snowing?  Do you want to bring your new baby and or siblings in the car to an appointment twenty or more minutes away?

With a home visit from me, I will drive to your house.  (I have four-wheel drive)!!! I can observe a feeding in the comfort of your home using your own nursing pillows, in you most comfortable chair.

My name is Linda Piper and I have 13 years of experience working in a level 3 NICU and 21 years of experience working as a hospital based lactation consultant.   I facilitated the hospital breastfeeding support group for many years which gave me experience with not only newborns but babies up to a year and beyond.  I am a mother of twins and taught the “Marvelous Multiples” classes until Covid happened.  I breastfed four children including a set of twin girls.  Twin Mammas I understand your challenges.

I am fully vaccinated and have also had my booster shot as well.   I will always wear a mask and adhere to all safety protocols. Holidays can be stressful and I am here to help.  Whether it be a phone call, a text or email, telehealth or an in person consult, I am ready to assist.
