How a brick is bringing fun to one local community

We've all tried to find Waldo in the books, right?  It's hard to find him sometimes isn't it?  Two local women have made it so much easier to find Waldo!  Kim Desrochers and Brittania Weatherspoon-North are working together to paint brick to place around South Hadley.

So how does it work?  Where's Waldo bricks are painted and then placed across South Hadley to be found!

What are the rules to finding them?  Simple:

*  It's okay to move me around, from my place on the ground

*  Don't take me away, so others can search and play.

Kim said, "I started the project after seeing a woman painted Waldo bricks for her community garden. So I reached out to my community and received a bunch of bricks. It’s been a few months now and we have about 55 to 60 bricks out, and more being painted as we speak. It’s been fun and the community seems to really enjoy finding them."

Brittania added, "I've had a lot of fun painting them and working on this community project with Kim. And we love hearing about where Waldo has been found, so hopefully, people will keep posting on the South Hadley/Granby community Facebook page to let us know of his travels. Also, if anyone is looking to have a brick on their property in SH, let us know and we'll try to get one to you. "

Kim made a post on the South Hadley & Granby Community Page and soon not only did she have donations of bricks but Brittania Weatherspoon-North, also from South Hadley, asked if she could join the project.
