We are so excited to have been given a copy of Balletball by Framingham resident and local children’s book author, Erin Dionne. Her newest picture book, Balletball, was released on February 25, 2020. This is Dionne's second picture book which is illustrated by Gillian Flint.
Balletball is the story of a little girl named Nini who loves ballet, but when her Mom signs her up for baseball after ballet classes end, she’s less than thrilled. When Nini makes a game-winning catch using her ballet moves, she realizes that change might not be so bad after all, and ballet and baseball have more in common than she thought.
“I had so much fun writing Balletball, and coming up with all the reasons why Nini wouldn’t like trying baseball,” said author Erin Dionne. “Kids have a hard time with change, and I hope this story gives parents a way to have a conversation about doing new things.”
