Annual Boston Bruins PJ Drive

Collection Locations at Local Libraries

By Nora Blake Director, Emily Williston Memorial Library and Museum February 20, 2019

The drive is in it's 11th year.  It was started by Boston Bruins' forward P.J. Axelsson and his wife as a way to support Cradles to Crayons, which connects with social service agencies to identify specific children in need.  In 2017 the drive was expanded to include the Department of Children and Families' Wonderfund.

This year more than 125 libraries across the state are helping to collect new pajamas for children of all ages (infancy through teens).  Here in Easthampton the Emily Williston Memorial Library is partnering with Mayor's Office and some local businesses to collect pajamas.  We have collection boxes at the library, City Hall, both branches of Easthampton Savings Bank, the Easthampton branch of Florence Savings Bank, Galaxy restaurant and the Public Safety Complex.

We'll be collecting pajamas through March 15.
